2015 SATs Papers

In 2015, SATs tests were given to children in Year 2 (KS1 SATs) and Year 6 (KS2 SATs).

2015 KS2 SATs Papers

The 2015 KS2 SATs took place in the week commencing 11th May 2015. The tests took place over four days.

Children in Year 6 (those aged 10-11) took these tests in their normal school classrooms (in the UK). SATs papers were taken in Maths, Reading and GaPS under formal exam conditions. These papers were marked externally whilst separate teacher assessments in Writing and Science were marked by their teachers.

2015 was the final year of 'old-style' SATs tests under the previous national curriculum. For 2016, a brand new set of KS1 and KS2 SATs papers were introduced.

To help prepare children for the 2015 KS2 SATs, children were able to download KS2 SATs Papers from previous years.

2015 SATs Results

2015 was the very last year of 'levels' and children's marks being directly compared to a levels threshold table. For 2016, children's marks began to be recorded using the scaled score system.

To view the levels thredhold table for the 2015 SATs, download the PDF marked 'Scaled Scores / Levels'.

Each school's results were made available to their headteachers in July 2015 via the NCA tools website. Every school's performance was then made public in December 2015 to create the 2015 school league tables.

If you are interested in seeing how your child's school performed in the 2015 SATs then look at the Department for Education (DfE) website that maintains up to date and historical school league tables.
