2015 KS2 SATs Results & Levels

In 2015, KS2 results were reported as National Curriculum levels rather than scaled scores (which replaced levels in 2016). Level 4 was the expected standard for the end of Key Stage 2; Level 5 indicated a pupil working above the expected standard, and the optional Level 6 test recognised exceptional attainment.

The raw-mark to level boundaries varied by paper each year. The official level threshold tables are included with the downloads above.

About the 2015 KS2 SATs

Children in Year 6 (aged 10-11) took the 2015 KS2 SATs in May 2015, over four days, in English Reading, Maths (including a Mental Maths test) and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling under formal exam conditions. Writing and Science were assessed by their teachers.

The papers were produced by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) and marked externally, with results reported as National Curriculum levels.

Key Stage 1 SATs also existed in 2015, but at that time they were informal - often teacher-set or drawn from older materials - so there are no standardised KS1 papers to download for this period.
